Mildred M. Ojea is the founder and principal at Ojea & Associates LLC. Mildred has spent her entire career advising clients on financial and corporate matters, with a focus on Latin America. Mildred leads a team of experienced attorneys who have reviously worked for big-law firms in New York. Our team guides clients in all of their corporate needs at every stage of their businesses.
Before founding O&A, Mildred worked for Gibson Dunn in New York and Herbert Smith for over 16 years. Mildred’s areas of experience include cross-border financing transactions, venture capital, project development and financing, private equity transactions in the United States and Latin America, restructuring, merger and acquisitions, joint ventures and general corporate matters. She has represented clients in multiple industries, including water, energy, mining, and infrastructure, throughout Latin America and other emerging markets.
Ms. Ojea’s experience has been recognized by clients and peers, leading to listings overtime in both Legal 500 and Chambers.
Ms. Ojea received her JD from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and Universidad del Salvador Law School in Argentina, where she graduated with honors. In addition, she earned a Master of Laws, with honors, from Northwestern University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Argentina and in New York.
Before moving to the United States, Ms. Ojea worked as an associate for Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal, a law firm in Argentina. She is fluent in Spanish and English and is proficient in Portuguese.
